The Cancer Resource Center is closed until further notice.
Updated 7/1/20: We miss seeing everyone at The Lemons of Love Center. But because we're mindful of everyone's health and safety, we need to keep our building closed for now. In the meantime, we're cleaning and sanitizing our Center so that when things are looking up, we are ready to rock and roll! Follow us on the Lemons of Love Cancer Resource Center Facebook page for building and program updates.
While we're closed, cancer survivors and their loved ones are welcome to take advantage of the online programs offered by our wonderful partner Wellness House.
Please stay well and we will too.
In 2018, we opened the Lemons of Love Cancer Resource Center in Mt. Prospect, IL. The goal of the Center is to provide wellness classes, educational programming, and opportunities to build community for those impacted by cancer--including survivors, caregivers and loved ones. Our programs, offered at no charge to participants, include yoga, meditation, creative arts, patient education and nutrition.
Current program partners include Wellness House in Hinsdale, Northwest Community Cancer Care, and local businesses. We also provide salon space, working with 37 local hairdressers who are on-call to volunteer their time for private head shavings at our building. In addition, we welcome local groups and volunteers to The Lemons of Love Cancer Resource Center to help us fund and fill care packages.
